We are a registered charity run by and for parents from military and civilian families in North Yorkshire, to offer free peer support to parents who are facing difficult circumstances when expecting or looking after their children.

We know how hard it can be to cope with becoming and being a parent, especially if life is giving you other pressures to deal with at the same time.  We know how badly that can affect a parent's wellbeing. So the peer support we offer focuses on the parent as a person in their own right and for their own sake.

We recruit volunteers who understand from their own experience what that's like, and train them to be peer supporters. Our volunteers offer confidential personal support to parents, run small groups where parents get to know and support each other, and organise events for parents and children to enjoy.
